If Harry Potter worked in a marketing agency, what would he do?
Would Hufflepuff be the graphic designers and would Slytherins do the web building?
Are Ravenclaws best suited to copywriting?
Do Hufflepuffs excel at graphic design?
(These are the kind of philosophical conundrums that I ponder during the wee hours).
Here are my thoughts on the matter…
- Hermione Granger – Lead copywriter
- Luna Lovegood – Social media content creator
- Dobby – Office administration
- Ron Weasley – Account management
- Neville Longbottom – Business operations
- Draco Malfoy – Head of web design
- Cho Chang – Copywriter
- Ginny Weasley – Business development/ Sales
- Harry Potter – CEO/ Principal Director
Hermione Granger – Lead copywriter

Though Ravenclaws are generally suited to writing and the study of magical marketing psychology, Hermione nonetheless suits this role.
Bookish and fond of the quill, she goes above and beyond to make sure her copy is spot on and represents the product perfectly.
Her Gryffindor traits – strong, brave and true – give her a great advantage leading the rest of the copywriting team.
Luna Lovegood – Social media content creator
Luna’s positivity and charm make her the perfect influencer and content creator.
She uses TikTok and Instagram to create enchanting media campaigns that captivate a brand’s target audience.

Though she can be a little odd sometimes, it always helps to boost the brand’s image.
Dobby – Office administration

Someone has to make sure that the office is fully stocked and everything runs smoothly.
Dobby can often be found with his head buried in the printer, sorting out a paper jam or replacing the ink.
When people come to the front desk, his cheerful smile welcomes them to the office and he’s always there to provide teas, coffees, and biscuits for visitors.
Ron Weasley – Account management
Ron keeps an eye on the clients and never shies away from telling the rest of the team when something’s not right.
He offers them strategic guidance on their marketing campaigns and liaises directly with managers and directors.
He’s the guy that gets stuff done.

Neville Longbottom – Business operations

Neville is smart, conscientious and thoughtful – he’s a great head of business operations.
He ensures that internal and external aspects of the business align and that each department communicates effectively with one another.
When it comes to human resources, everyone in the company feels like they can speak to Neville about any problem.
Draco Malfoy – Head of web design
Malfoy uses his analytical mind, his quick thinking, and his precision to create incredible websites.
Coding comes naturally to him, as does bossing around his underlings.
He has a nasty habit of looking down upon some of the other team members… especially the copywriters.

Cho Chang – Copywriter

Though she’s rather adventurous for a Ravenclaw, Cho never lost her passion for writing and study.
When she’s not working, she can be found writing her personal blog about the Tornados Quidditch Team.
Ginny Weasley – Business development/ Sales
Ginny is bold, confident and has the guts to go after even the toughest clients.
She makes calls, attends events and has even been known to apparate directly into the board rooms of her potential clients in order to get their attention.
She’s persistent to say the least and is always looking for growth opportunities.

Harry Potter – CEO/ Principal Director

We all know that, though he’s a clever guy, Harry was never academically inclined at Hogwarts.
He was, however, great at a broad array of things that would be great in a marketing agency.
As CEO, his Gryffindor traits come out when leading the team and growing the business.
His wit and experience shine through in the copy that he writes.
He’s not quite as analytical as some of the Slytherins but, like Parseltongue, coding comes fairly naturally to him.
When he’s dealing with clients, he can turn on the charm easily.
Harry is a great all-rounder.
